The first of two instrumentation workshops to follow up on the progress made which lead up to the GMT Conceptual Design Review, and to plan the future development path. Participants include key individuals from the instrument teams, members of the PSWG and Science Working Group, and a small number of other cognizant individuals. The first meeting will be focused on seeing-limited and wide-field instruments. The second meeting, tentatively scheduled for late November - early December in Tucson, will focus on AO and AO-fed instruments. Both meetings will last 2-1/2 days.
